Mini Twist Protective Style

Decided to do mini twist  for a couple of days with plans of doing a twist out on Sunday. So glad I'm done, because these are very time consuming to do.  The twist outs are amazing though.

It's Going Down For Sure

Super excited I weighed myself this morning and I'm 182 lbs. I haven't really been to the gym in about 10 days because of a cleanse I was doing and just simply not feeling to good. I guess it's what my body really needed though. Almost into the 170's . I always seem to get stuck right here at about 180 lbs but this time I going under for sure no doubt about it. Christmas dinner won't even be a problem :)

Mother of a Teenager

Ok the day is fast approaching. My daughter Shemariah will be turning 13 years old Saturday. WOW time has really gone by fast. I love my daughter. She is a joy to have. I look forward to the teen years with her. She is beautiful, fun, and kind. I've watched her over the years and she's a very good friend, daughter and sister. Most of all the I've seen her strive to learn more about the lord and draw closer to him through His word. I Love you babe and continue to look to the word as your guide. Beautiful you are, Love

I took the micro braids out after 4 weeks. I didn't notice any breakage but noticed that my hair grew some. How much it grew, I don't know exactly because I didn't measure it. Protective styling works well for me as far as retaining length. My next protective style will be in one week haven't decided just what yet though. This is a pic of my hair in a mini twist out.  I thought it was to cute!

Down Another 2lbs

Hey I' down another 2lbs!! I'm super excited. I could actually tell that I lost some though. I was looking just a little bit slimmer:) The jogging is paying off. Oh by the way that means I'm 185lb.
After having both of my children who are 12 and 11 yrs old I weighed about 175lbs. Slowly I gained more and more weight getting up to 228lbs. My journey to better health began two years ago.

I recently started jogging. I'm taking it slow with walk and jog intervals. My goal is to be able to jog for thirty minute per day four times a week. I also included a group of  stomach toning exercises and already I've notice a difference. I really don't want to give up on this training because it's been a long time coming for me.  Hopefully by spring  I'll be there.

I have begun to like working out so much that weighing myself and focusing on my size is not as important anymore, It's part of my life now. Don't get me wrong, I think there's still a possibility that I could lose desire for it. Sometimes I wish I had a consistent workout partner or even accountability partner. Go at it all alone is what I plan to do proudly though until that happens.
